Letter to my thoughts,

Everytime you scratch your nails down someone else's back... yeah, I can feel it.

You know? I think you got me idealized. I'm not that great.

I'll never be that kind, that smart, that sexy or that good at anything. I might be "above average" at a couple things, but that's it. I'm not super at all.

I am grateful, of course, that you see so many good things in me; it makes you look up to me. Makes you care for me, makes you love me. It ain't true, but you see it... so I am grateful for your visions and day-dreaming.

Let me say that, I too love you, very much. I don't idealize you; I see what you got and what you lack. I've even told you, straight honest, what I think about you. Overall, I think you're great. And I love you for all that.

Going back to me, I think you should open your eyes a bit wider the next time you look at me. Seriously, I'm not that good. I wish I was. I do my best. But I ain't that good. At least not yet.

I hope you see the sincerity in my words today, I'd feel like a real prick if I didn't tell you this.

I can tell you love me very much, and that you miss me when I'm gone; that you can't stand the idea of your life without me... I'm flattered! But I think you overreact a bit. There are plenty, far better guys out there. Again, I'm just average. An average guy who's very grateful to have you in his life.

One more thing. I'm not the only thing in your life either. You got friends. You got a career, hobbies... maybe you need more hobbies; ayway, the point is: I'm not the only thing you got. I'm glad you consider me quite a big piece of your life, of course; but I'm not the only one. You had a life before me. A full, whole life. What did you do back then? Don't give up all that other stuff you used to do before just because I'm in your life now! (except dating, of course).

Learn new stuff. Visit your friends. Go out more. And if you need help with anything, yet again, here I am for you. Always.
